Formed in April 2009 by Musical Director and Educator Jonathan Bligh, The Festival Statesmen Youth Chorus is a dynamic all-male a cappella vocal group. The chorus exists to provide a platform for young Adelaide singers to achieve vocal and performance excellence. Membership ranges from middle school through to young adults.

In 2014 Festival Statesmen were crowned the AUSACA University / League National Champions, wowing not only the judges and audience but also taking home special awards for Best Soloist, Best Classical Song, Best Ensemble and Best Contemporary Song.

With a strong competitive spirit, Festival Statesmen have filled their shelves with numerous trophies including both 2015 & 2013 Male Youth Chorus Barbershop Harmony Australia (BHA) Champions, 2015 & 2013 Male Open Chorus BHA Silver Medalists, 2012 Adelaide Eisteddfod – Choral Excellence Award Winners, plus many more. If that wasn’t enough to weigh down their shelves, they were also the 2011 Pan Pacific Region Gold Medallist Youth Chorus and Open Chorus Bronze Medallists!

Listen to Festival Statesmen’s recording of ‘Get Back‘ that was part of their prize for winning AUSACA 2014 Championship!
